Readers of Tables Magazine nominate island chefs and restaurants for the annual Chef’s Hat Awards. They consider superior food, service and ambiance when making their choices. Each nominee is vetted by the Tables Magazine Board of Judges, who narrow the list down to just a dozen or fewer winners.

In the annual Tables Magazine Chef’s Hat Award Ceremony and Reception,  held in the International Ballroom of the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino in Condado, winners receive an exclusive, 2-tier acrylic plaque featuring a red embossed chef’s hat and the Tables logo.  The name of the chef and restaurant are on the larger tier.

Restaurants that have won the award for four years go into the Tables Magazine Hall of Fame.
